Day 1 : Arrival to Casablanca - 40 km - 40 mints
Arival to Casablanca airport. Meet your private driver and escorted for the check in at the hotel. Visit Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city, with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, a showpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Also visit local museums and galleries that support the city’s thriving contemporary arts scene. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes - 295 km - 04 hours
Depart to Rabat, Morocco’s sophisticated seaside capital. Stroll through the beautiful Andalusian Gardens, and visit the landmark Kasbah of the Udayas, which perches on a hill above a scenic estuary. Enjoy the archeticture of Med V Mausouleum and the old Hassan tower. We continue towards the Imperial city of Mekens for lunch break and enjoy the ornamental gate of Bab Mansour and the granary. Optional visit to the Roman capital Volubilis before arrival to the mediveal city of Fes for the overnight with dinner.
Day 3 : Fes Sightseeing Tour
Today you will have a full day sightseeing and shopping tour in Fes, the intellectual and religious heart of Morocco. During private touring, explore Fez el-Bali (“Old Fez”) and its medieval medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site crammed with narrow streets, tiny squares and busy workshops. Meet local artisans who specialize in geometric zellij tilework and mosaics, and see leather artisans working at the city’s renowned open-air tanneries. You will have enough time for lunch. Then, during a private calligraphy workshop, learn to write the graceful, flowing lines of Arabic script. You will have time to visit embrodiary Cooperative and rugs workshop. Back to the hotel for the overnight.
Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Beni Mellal – Marrakech - 490 km - 8 hours
Today you will drive South west crossing a part of the Middle Atlas through the town of Ifrane, also called the Switzerland of Africa because of the combination of its Western alpine architecture and cedar forests. We will stop to see the indigenous Barbary monkeys that inhabit the area of Azrou; you can feed them and take photos if you wish. Optional lunch break in local Restaurant. Continue our journey towards the red city of Marrakech. Check in and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Marrakech Sightseeing Tour
Today is a sightseeing tour of Marrakesh, a beautiful city of pink buildings, bustling souks, and upscale shops and restaurants. During private touring, explore exquisite Moorish gardens and architectural highlights such as Jardin Majorelle and Yve Saint Laurent Museum, the Palmeraie and the Bahia Palace. Enjoy classes focused on traditional Moroccan stucco work, mosaics, and dyeing and weaving. See important historic monuments and districts, including the Jewish quarter, Koutoubia Mosque, Ben Youssef Medersa and photography Museum. End the tour in Djemaa lefna, the city’s lively main square, which transforms each evening into a multisensory pageant of energetic street performances and tantalizing food stalls. Back to the hotel for the overnight.
Day 6 : Marrakech Explore Day
Today is a shopping and crafts tour through the colorful Souks. You be will accompagnied by your private guide through the alleyways of the blusting artisnal Souks with nice stops to enjoy the lively atomsphere where the artisans devote their energy and technique to make their own crafts such as : the colorful textile scraps, leather pouf ottomans in rich colors, babouche leather slippers and brass lanterns incised with arabesque motifs. We conclude the Souks with the aromatic smell of the local spices before we head for lunch in the new district. Afterwards, we will drive to the industrial area where the the traditional and modern crafts are exhibited. Back to the hotel late afternoon for the overnight.
Day 7 : Berber Trail Day Trip to Atlas Mountains - 120 km
Today you will have a trip out of the blusting Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains and Kasbah Tamadot, one of Morocco’s most acclaimed luxury resorts. Designed like a traditional Moroccan fort, the hillside resort has beautiful grounds and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Depending on the day of the trip you can explore the local Market of Asni. You will also enjoy private visits to local Berber villages, Take a workshop with a master potter to learn how Morocco’s distinctive conical tagine cookware and earthenware serving dishes are created. On the afternoon, you will be back to Marrakech city for the overnight.
Day 8 : Marrakech – Essaouira - 175 km
Depart around 10 am towards the town of Essaouira, a whitewashed port and UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Atlantic coast. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit a cooperative, where the Argan oil is extracted. This oil is very famous for its uses in cooking and especially in cosmetics. You will learn about the unique process for creating this treasured local product. You will have several stops for nice photos shots of the goats climbing the Argran trees and for a panoramic view of Essaouira. Arrival to the city. Check in and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Essaouira at Leisure
Today is a day to tour the city of Essaouira. During private touring you will explore the impressive fortifications and medina, and sample fresh seafood at stalls lining the port. Also meet with a wood craftsman to see how local thuya wood is transformed into unique marquetry boxes and other decorative objects. Free afternoon to relax or wander around the medina. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Essaouira – Back to the airport
Depending on your flight schedules, we’ll transfer you to Casablanca or Marrakech airport with plenty of memories. We will help you with registration formalities and special flight requirements before your departure.
