Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech
Arrival to Marrakech Menara Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Our driver will provide a brief overview of your tour. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Full Day to Visit Marrakech
Today you will have a full-day guided tour of Marrakech. The sightseeing tour will cover several impressive sights: The Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Palace Museum. Optional lunch will be in the medina followed by a walk through the colorful souks of Marrakech. Enjoy a sunset drink overlooking the exciting Jamaa El Fna Square from a terrace of a cafe, dinner and night at hotel.
Day 3: Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait benhdaou - Ouarzazate - Skoura
After breakfast, we travel across the plains of the great High Atlas Mountains. Climbing over the pass of Tizi n Tichka with great views over the Berber villages and green valleys to reach Ait Benhaddou. This incredible fortified Kasbah was built for defense purposes featured in many blockbuster movies, including Gladiator and Laurence of Arabia as its beauty is unequal to any other fortified Kasbahs in south of Morocco. After lunch, we continue south to the Hollywood of North Africa – Ouarzazate which is famous for being the filming location for many other Hollywood blockbusters and famous TV shows including James Bond – The Living Daylights, The Mummy and more recently Game of Thrones. The day will end in Skoura for the overnight.
Day 4: Skoura - Dades valley - Todra gorges - Merzouga Desert
Today there is a possibility of visiting the Kasbah of Amredil in Skoura before seeing the rose fields and reaching scenic Todra Gorges. Surrounded by towering vertical limestone cliffs reaching heights of 1000ft, it is known as Morocco’s Grand Canyon. The charm of Todra lies in its changing colours as the sun slowly moves from east to west. After time to wander through the canyons, we arrive to Merzouga, a fabulous destination for its immense red sand dunes and picturesque sunset and sunrise. You will enjoy ridding camels to the luxury desert camp where you have a welcome drink and tasty Moroccan dinner by the campfire with local entertainment.
Day 5: Sahara Desert Delights
Today you will live a great experience in the midst of the Sahara desert. The day usually starts at 10 am after your breakfast. You will have an adventurous drive with the 4WD through the stony and sandy desert with an interesting stop to explore the nomad life experience in Berber family tent. The tour will cover a stop at the black stone mine before pic-nique lunch in an Oasis. Back to the camp where you will have an option of choice for the possible activities including: Quad bike – ATV – Sand board – Sand dunes smooth walk and trek with an extra fee. Overnight with dinner and entertainment at the luxury camp.
Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Cedar Forest - Ifrane - Fes
Morning wake up to watch the spectacle of sunrise. After breakfast, you will drive towards the medieval city of Fes. It is a long drive today however there is a lot to see on the way. We will pass through the palm gorges of Ziz valley. Lunch will be enjoyed in Midelt. Just before Fes we stop at the cedar forest full of Barbary monkeys on our way through the middle Atlas Mountains. We reach Ifrane – a beautiful town often likened to a Swiss Alpine resort. Along the way we also start to see our first glimpse of Morocco’s nomadic Berbers. We arrive into Fes for the overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Explore the city of Fes
Today you will explore the twisting streets of the old Medina, with shops selling spices, carpets, silver, and more. We will start with a panoramic view over the entire Fes city. Then, we will stop to enjoy a visit of the poetry workshop. Next will be the wonderful Royal Palace with its seven gates that are made of copper, adorned with marble and Mosaic. Then, we will visit the old Jewish Quarter – goes back to 17th Century and an Andalusian-style garden. You’ll see a university dating back to 859. After lunch, we continue the guided tour to see Bouaanania Medrassa, the Batha Museum, the leather Tanneries, and the blue-tiled gate named Bab Boujloud. Back to the hotel for the overnight.
Day 8: Fes - Volubilis - Meknes - Chefchaouen
We start from Fez with a scenic drive towards the North of the country where the blue town of Chefchaouen and the Rif Mountains through Meknes, the fourth of Morocco’s imperial cities and the 17th century heritage where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina. We take a glimpse to Bab el Mansour and enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail’s shrine. After lunch, continue the journey through the fertile agricultural hills to the Roman Ruins at Volubilis. Arrival to the authentic town of Chefchaouen for the overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Explore Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will explore the blue town of Chefchaouen which is a Morocco popular tourist attraction and welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. This nice bleu city is known for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca
Today you will depart from the blue town Chefchaouen towards the main capital Rabat. Upon arrival, you will see Hassan Tower. You will have the chance to visit the Royal Palace, the ornamented mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan II. The building is considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture, with its white silhouette, topped by a typical green tiled roof. You will also reach the old Oudayyas Kasbah at the side of Bou Regreg River. This fortification was built as a military defense in the 12th century by the Almohads dynasty. The guided tour will go behind to early ages by visiting the Roman Chellah ruins as a necropolis at the outskirts of Rabat. Afterwards, take the highway towards Casablanca. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Casablanca – El Jadida – Oualidia - Essaouira
After breakfast, departure to Essaouira via El jadida for sightseeing of the town includes the famous citadel, built under the Portuguese occupation in the 16th century. We continue by the seaside with a stop in El Oualidia to enjoy the Oysters lunch in a local restaurant with sea view. Arrival to the coastal town of Essaouira for the overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Day at leisure at Essaouira
Today is at leisure to relax in Essaouira You will have the opportunity to have more time in this small town to explore the Medina as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful arts and crafts to be found, including objects carved out of local Thuya wood. You will enjoy a mint tea in one of the local cafés and explore the Atlantic-facing sandy beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: - Essaouira - Marrakech
After breakfast, you will drive from the coastal town of Essaouira towards the red city of Marrakech. En route, you will enjoy the Argan trees, important to the region both economically and ecologically. You may also see local goats perched in the trees feeding on the fruit and leaves. At the women's Co-operative of Argan Oil, there will be an opportunity to learn about the wide ranging applications of the oil from cosmetics to medicines. After several stops to take photographs, you will continue your travel to Marrakech. Free afternoon and overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Marrakech at leisure
Today will be at leisure to choose what to do. The options can be a day trip to the Atlas Mountains or relaxing and exploring the city of Marrakech more with some activities such as a cooking class or a relaxing Hammam and Spa. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 15: Marrakech - Back to the Airport
Transfer to the airport of Marrakech or Casablanca for your flight back home.
