Embark on a remarkable 2-day journey from Ouarzazate to the mesmerizing Erg Chegaga Desert, experiencing the magic of the Sahara through off-road 4×4 adventures and camel rides.
Itinerary
Commencing our adventure at 8:00 AM from your Ouarzazate hotel, we venture into the enchanting Draa Valley en route to Zagora. Our path leads us through both paved and off-road tracks, with captivating stops along the way. We explore an underground Kasbah, delve into the treasures of the Koran library, and witness the historical artistry of Tamegroute pottery. Upon reaching M’hamid, we savor an optional lunch. Our journey continues by 4x4 as we navigate the stunning terrain, passing a Sacred Oasis and eventually arriving at the vast Erg Chegaga sand dunes. Here, you'll have the chance to partake in a one-hour camel ride, allowing you to immerse yourself in the magic of a Sahara sunset. As the day draws to a close, we settle into the serene Sahara Service Standard Camp at Erg Chegaga for an overnight stay, complete with dinner and breakfast.
As the first rays of sunlight grace the sand dunes, you'll enjoy a hearty breakfast at the camp. Our journey continues in our trusty 4x4 along the historic Paris-Dakar road, taking us across the captivating Iriqui Lake. Eventually, we reach Foum Zguid, where an optional lunch can be savored in the welcoming Berber village of Taznakht. Our adventure then leads us to the renowned 16th-century UNESCO site, Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco's most beautifully preserved and captivating Kasbahs. Around 5:00 PM, we return to Ouarzazate, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation. Experience the Sahara's allure, from the rugged off-road trails to the tranquil desert camp, on this unforgettable 2-day journey.
